The Thursday Stop is the time during my week that all things stop for a few minutes to reflect about my business and life. I use this time as a mental breather, to look back and forward at the direction things are going. Occasionally, I recall questions from customers and clients and share my answers with viewers.
What CRM Do you recommend?
I recommend a spreadsheet. A spreadsheet is a great place to start before you get into a CRM. Using a spreadsheet, will allow you to wrap your mind around how you want to manage your contacts before you start using a CRM.
Once you are in a CRM, it is harder to make large changes in organization and management of your contacts. It is best to get this out of the way in the spreadsheet, and them move to a CRM once your process, management, and understanding of your list is solid.
You can also be very simple or quite complex with the spreadsheet and completely customize how you want to manage the contacts. When you are ready for a CRM, you can use your customization as a necessary features when shopping your options.
Working from a spreadsheet allows you to import and export contacts easily to and from communication and marketing tools.
Google Sheets + Zapier can keep contacts in sync with communication and marketing tools and eliminate the need to manage contacts across many tools.
